When searching for character cards, discovering great character cards can be difficult if their titles and descriptions are written in a language you do not understand. Currently, users have to manually copy and translate descriptions outside the application just to decide if they want to use a card.
I would like to add an option to automatically translate character card titles and descriptions directly within the search screen and card detail view.
Proposed User Flow & UI:
- Settings -> Language: Add a new "Auto-translate character cards" toggle option.
- Translation Configuration: When enabled, expand the options so users can select their desired output language, choose a translation model, and enter their API key (using the same UI structure currently found in Settings -> Chat Bot -> Model).
- Search Screen: When browsing, card titles and descriptions will automatically be translated and displayed using the selected API.
- Card Detail View: Opening a character card will show the auto-translated title and description by default. A toggle button will also be available to easily switch between the translated text and the original text.
